Fourth Ward Site in Uptown Listed on the Market for Potential Redevelopment

An uptown site that’s been under the same family ownership for several decades is on the market for a potential redevelopment opportunity.

A 1.6-acre site, at 420 W. Sixth St., along North Graham Street between Sixth and Seventh streets, will be listed for sale this week by Capstone Cos.’ land brokerage division. The property includes an assortment of low-slung brick buildings that were once occupied by Fourth Ward Bread Co. and a tire shop, as well as surface parking.

The site, which covers half a city block, is across Graham from the MAA Uptown apartment property and adjacent to the uptown Harris Teeter on Sixth Street. The Park Plaza condo building occupies the other half of the block.
