More than a dozen CRCBR members met with state lawmakers on Monday, June 8th, to share their local market and commercial real estate perspective. Discussions with each legislator included support for an extension (or permanent allowance) of online notarization, opposition to HB1057 bill and support of continued work on economic development and bringing the Republican National Convention in Charlotte. There was a theme of “keeping it simple” so businesses can restart the economy, as well as taking the lessons learned in our new virtual world, into implementation for the future. Participating legislators included: Rep. John Torbett, Rep. Mark Brody, Senator Vickie Sawyer, Senator Rob Bryan, Senator Paul Newton, Rep. Jason Saine, and Rep. Jay Adams.
